"S&G Carpet and More is hiring an Administrative Assistant to join the team in West Sacramento, CA!"
We are looking for someone to join our team as administrative support for our sales division. They will handle the administrative side of the sales process from start to finish. This role includes but is not limited to the following tasks. It includes reviewing sales orders, taking payments, entering information into multiple systems, and communicating with sales staff, customers, and vendors. It involves checking for new orders multiple times a day, updating and submitting paperwork, and correspondence via email and phone. It also involves reviewing receipts and tracking purchases.
This position will report to the CFO and/or Lead Accountant and may be asked to help in a variety of other administrative tasks. They will communicate professionally with staff and customers via phone and email to aid in collections and information gathering. They will use S&G’s software to navigate orders and use simple spreadsheets to read reports and aid in reconciliations.
The administrative assistant will train and report for work at our West Sacramento Corporate offices, Monday through Friday.
This is a full-time position which will have a specific start time between 8am and 9am and a specific end time between 5pm and 6pm.
The Administrative Assistant must:
Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Benefits:
- This is a full-time in-person position. Training will be in-office at the Corporate offices in West Sacramento, M-F.
- Pay starts at $18 to $20 per hour

The Administrative Assistant must:
- Be self-motivated and adept at problem solving
- Clearly communicate

- Work cohesively with peers and members of the corporate team
- Data Entry/Review:
- Navigating multiple systems to retrieve information and add updates
- Review other data entries for accuracy and make updates, if necessary
- Track leads and payments on an excel spreadsheet
- Communicate with vendors, customers, and other members of the S&G team to collect and ensure accurate information.
- General administrative work – provide general administrative work based on the needs of the administrative office, lead accountant, and CFO
- Intermediate computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Accurate and efficient data entry
- Punctuality, dependability, and responsiveness.
- Capable of preserving confidential/sensitive Company information.
- Can work alone or as part of a team.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, both writing and verbal
- A short skills assessment will be given at the interview.
- The administrative assistant will work at a computer display terminal for 6-8 hours a day.
- The administrative assistant will train and work at the West Sacramento Corporate office, Monday through Friday, during their agreed upon working hours.
